More than 70% of our anti fatigue matting can be custom sized to fit your individual matting needs! These mats are indeed priced by the square foot. The per square foot pricing is typically 10% to 15% higher than a standard size in the same mat type. The reason for this is the extra labor involved in the manufacturing process to insure correct sizing to fit your specifications.
How To Spot A Mat That Can Be Custom Fit

When you see the image above on one of our individual mat pages, it tells you that the mat can be custom sized to fit your individual space requirements. Usually there will be information either right or left of the "Custom Cuts" image that indicates the standard widths available for the custom sizing. Standard widths?
"Custom Mat" Vs "Semi-Custom Mat"
Our custom matting is actually semi-custom mats. All our mats are designed by the manufacturer with the machinery set up for manufacturing each mat type in specific widths. As the matting material comes off the machinery, the lengths can be varied to fit your specific space requirements. However, the widths are pre-set by the factory process. Therefore, you are able to set the length of the mat to fit your particular area needing the mat, but you have to adhere to the widths that are pre-set by the factory. To get an exact quotation for a custom sized mat, simply click on the "Custom Cuts" image. Your browser will be sent to a form that allows you to detail the mat specifications for a request for quotation. Fill out and submit the form. Your information will immediately be sent to Best Mats' customer service department. A Best Mats customer service representative will receive an email from our website detailing your request. You will receive an automatic response email indicating that the information has been sent to Best Mats. Usually our customer service department will respond to your custom sizing request for quotation within 2 hours. However, In some instances, this process takes longer.
